Winslet’s decision to take on this project is part of a growing sense of responsibility she feels towards women in the film industry. In an interview on the ‘How to Fail’ podcast, Winslet reflected on her previous reluctance to direct, citing the demanding nature of the role.
However, over time, she began to feel a sense of urgency to make a change, particularly for the benefit of other women in Hollywood.
